About Millard Hiner
Millard Hiner is a retired scientist, entrepreneur and author whose writing draws on a lifetime of professional and personal experience. During a career spanning more than three decades with the U.S. Geological Survey, he advanced from field scientist to experienced supervisor before establishing his own water-resources consulting business and web design firm.
His first books became the Successful Supervisor Series, sharing practical lessons in management, leadership and team building. He later turned to fiction, drawing on his background in geology and hydrology to create mysteries set around California’s Redwood Coast. His nonfiction also explores deeply personal experiences of loss, change and moving forward.
